Staff and residents of our Solent Grange development braved the February chill to embark on one of the first beach clean ups of the new year. Volunteers scoured the length of Milford-on-Sea’s Keyhaven Beach, successfully picking up several bags worth of rubbish in the process.
Nicky Clarke, Office Manager at RoyaleLife took part after seeing the event advertised online: “Milford-on-Sea has a fantastic community spirit, and after seeing the clean-up advertised online, the RoyaleLife team and some of our brilliant residents jumped at the chance to help.
We found all sorts of items on the beach including broken bottles, blankets and more. It made us realise how dangerous it could potentially be to children and dogs who often play on the beach at this time of year, not to mention the local wildlife. We will definitely take part in future clean ups – especially as we head into the busy summer months, and welcome anybody who would like to join us.”
The clean-up forms part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen ties within the areas around our developments and dedication to backing local causes which aim to improve the quality of life for those living in the region.
Ben Smith, Marketing Manager from RoyaleLife said: “We couldn’t be prouder of the team for helping with the beach clean-up. Milford-on-Sea is a fantastic community to live in as shown by the care and consideration taken by residents in keeping it tidy. We hope that their hard work helps to shine a light on the potential dangers of littering on the beach and that it inspires people to think twice before dropping their rubbish.”
