Saints legend Franny Benali has had a major boost to his latest charity challenge this week, in the form of a £10,000 donation from Britain’s leader in bungalow living.
RoyaleLife says it was ‘astounded’ when it heard about Franny’s #IronFran challenge and immediately dug deep to support it.
#IronFran is the latest sporting challenge by Franny Benali in aid of Cancer Research UK. It will see the dad-of-two complete seven Ironman-distance triathlons in seven days as part of his ongoing mission to raise £1m for the cancer charity. He will swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles and run a marathon every day for a week.
As well as the £10,000 donation, staff and residents from RoyaleLife’s luxury gated bungalow communities will be getting behind Franny during his challenge.
Robert Bull, chief executive at RoyaleLife, whose headquarters are in Hampshire, said: “Franny is well-known for pushing his body to the limits for charity but this latest challenge really is the toughest yet. We were astounded when we heard what he was doing and started to explore how we could support him. Sadly, cancer affects far too many people and Franny’s tireless fundraising for Cancer Research UK is to be applauded.”
Franny said: “Donations like this make all the difference and I’m so grateful to RoyaleLife for its generous support. It’ll help to keep me going throughout the challenge, which is certainly going to be my toughest yet.”
